"Knowledge Combined With Trust, Ignorance, And Distance"
The Ramai Foundation is guided by the vision of His Divine Grace AC Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, who envisioned reviving the Vedic Gurukulam system to nurture responsible leaders and great men. Inspired by this, we have established over 17 Gurukuls across India, offering free education to students.
Our Gurukuls combine spiritual education, physical fitness training (like wrestling and boxing), and modern academic learning to nurture well-rounded individuals. We also take students on spiritual trips twice a year to deepen their understanding and connection with sacred places. Our mission is to open Gurukuls in every district, ensuring holistic education for all.

In the earlier times, education meant ‘wholesome’ education. That which does not end with the classroom but also trains a student in appropriate behaviour, healthy lifestyle and moral values. The current education system may produce competent doctors, engineers and IAS officers but what lacks in today’s age is a solid foundation of good character. Let us take an example of a diseased person faced with two options. One, a hospital of very competent doctors but a case history of exorbitant bills, unnecessary extensions of treatment and even stolen kidneys. Or two, a hospital with competent doctors who are honest and sincerely serve their patients with care. Definitely, the person would choose the second hospital. Therefore to become a truly successful individual, competence alone is not sufficient but must be blended with character.
We aspire to identify and nurture various naturally existing talents and inclinations in a student and facilitate in developing them. When children feel competent, they have a sense of themselves as being capable to tackle the tasks and challenges they encounter daily in their lives. Incompetent people are often highly dependent on others, and hesitate to try new things out of fear of failure. These problems tend to increase as children age into adulthood. A strong sense of personal competence is necessary for children to persevere in the face of challenges, to step out of their comfort zones, and have positive self-esteem. It is also an important quality to help children grow into adults who are able to independently manage the responsibilities of life. On the academic front, the proposed curriculum is CBSE which is global, challenging and at the same time flexible.
Inspired by the vision of His Divine Grace AC Swami Prabhupada, the exemplary ambassador of Indian culture and wisdom, we have created a transformative learning experience for the students by providing a unique combination of Culture-based education found in ancient Indian scriptures, along with a world-class academic curriculum. Culture forms the bedrock for the journey of learning. Culture provides a favorable platform for the “seed of knowledge”, which is sown in the heart of a person, to become a wonderful creeper, and then finally grow as a healthy tree.
